Team Scoobert: Time to make this one history. Once again a big thanks to calkids and Sweet Ann for their unique ideas, setup and clean up

and B.O.S.N. and MarshallOD for more party favors and ideas, some of which we never got to. I guess we'll save them for

next year [:P].

Geocache Description:

Last year on this same weekend, a group of cachers consisting of El Dorado Bob, Calkids, MarshallOD, B.O.S.N., size14shoe, 3-carver and Scoobert met at Loon Lake for a celebration and overnight stay. The celebration was fun, but the campfire was the highlight of the trip. So this will be the 2nd annual but 1st official "What Happens at Loon Stays at Loon" Event. Of course you won't have to hike 25.5 km (15.8 miles) and gain 1680 ft of elevation to attend the event, unless you want to of course. But then you'll have to wear B.O.S.N.'s pink boots.

There were some mind-boggling ideas that surfaced during that campfire, some of them which can probably be attributed to B.O.S.N.'s Vanilla Vodka.
Many of those mind boggling ideas became reality, including the Loon Lake Snowshoe Event. But most of the others we can't share because What Happens at Loon Stays at Loon!

In any event, we thought we'd try for a repeat campfire this year with a larger collection of cachers to see what other crazy ideas we could brew up. This will obviously be a camp out event, so bring whatever you need to be self sufficient for camping for the night. The campground should have plenty of room this time of the year. There are also plenty of additional camping spots outside the designated campground if you wish and plenty of places for RV's/campers (fee or free, depending if you need hookups). It will probably be chilly at an elevation of 6600 ft, so bring plenty of warm clothes. We'll try to keep you updated on the weather, campground information and fire restriction status as the date approaches.
This event is posted at the Loon Lake Chalet as that is where we'll be meeting at outside of at 2pm directly after the preceding CITO Event. We will post information on cachers campsites by the front door of the Chalet once those campsites are established/occupied, as well as which site (or coordinates) the main campfire will be held at. We will also probably be eating or having some sort of potluck right at 2pm for the hungry CITO gang.

Just in...Bonus! We've been able to secure the chalet for the afternoon for use of the kitchen facilities!

Knowing B.O.S.N., there will be plenty of fun and creative activities as well as some techy stuff and/or map and compass talk.

Sunday morning there will surely be groups kayaking and canoeing as well as various hikes around the magnificent shorelines of Loon Lake (and beyond!). So bring your watercraft and/or hiking boots!

If you come out for this one, you are all but guaranteed to have fun and laughs. Hope to see you there!
