The

Wayward Wanderers of

Melderyn

present:

Nonogram

In the 7th Millennium, of the 3rd Age, Year 976, King Augusta Nonopolus came to power in Melderyn. He was a very strict king and began implementing many rules and restrictions on the common folk of the land. He became known as the No No king because of all the various privileges he took away. Everything was scrutinized and all correspondence was read. To overcome this, the Wayward Wanderers developed a coded grid to pass on messages of secret locations and meeting areas. They called these grids No No Grams after the king’s dubious nickname. Nonograms have been passed down for thousands of years and are used today mainly for enjoyment. A cache has been placed in honour of the Wayward Wanderers and their invention of the Nonogram. Perhaps you can decode the puzzle and find the cache.

The Wayward Wanderers were a group of Rangers from a bygone Dungeons and Dragons era. Coming from the Kingdom of Melderyn, near the Never Ending Forest, in the mystical Land of Noth, they used their skills in tracking and living off the land to quest by themselves or to help others find gold, gems and other treasures, much like the modern day cacher of today. Their free spirit and inquisitive minds allowed them to develop many of today’s modern ideas and conveniences. A little sneaky at times, they have left several puzzle caches for the modern day cacher to enjoy.
