As the largest city in Solano County, Vallejo remains an important city in the region. If you're headed to the Bay Area by car, bus, or ferry, you're very likely to pass through this diverse and interesting city. Like its neighbor Benicia, it too served as the state capital for short periods of time in 1852 and 1853. It also played host to the Mare Island Naval Shipyard, one of the largest on the west coast. It served an important role in the World War II shipbuilding effort. Today, Vallejo is more likely to be known for its large amusement park on the northern end of the city. My mother has worked in Vallejo for as long as I can remember, so I have many fond memories visiting this city with my mom when I'd go to work with her. Cache has been placed in Vallejo's largest shopping area. It's a log only so BYOP, and it won't hold any swag. As you'll be in a shopping area, please practice stealth and rehide exactly as found, in order to preserve the camo. Enjoy!
