Geocache Description:

F-84F in Seminole Valley Park

The Republic F-84F Thunderstreak was an American-built swept-wing turbojet fighter-bomber. While an evolutionary development of the straight-wing F-84 Thunderjet, the F-84F was a new design.

The 132nd Fighter Wing in Des Moines flew the F-84F from 1969-1971.

The 174th Tactical Reconnaissance Squadron of the 185th Wing in Sioux City, IA also flew the RF-84F from 1958-1961.

Cache is not at the indicated coordinates. To solve for the coordinates you will need to locate the Jet at it's virtual waypoint that is listed below. On the nose landing gear there is a plate that reads: "The Cleveland Pneumatic Tool Co. Order No: AF (numbers)AA-BAC-DEBF." Where the numbers A, B, C, D, E, and F are used to get the coordinates of the final.

Cache is located at:
N 42 B.FAE
W 91 FA.(C-A)F(C-D)
