Bidwell Training Center
As the Black Construction Coalition made strides towards opening up more jobs for Black workers, a training center in the South Side and one where you are currently standing were created to train the new workforce. Nate Smith went to great lengths to remove barriers for those he was training, including by bringing heavy machinery to some of the training centers and bussing trainees who didn’t have access to reliable transportation.
The puzzle
—there is no need to complete these steps in real life. Feel free to just use google maps or street view instead—
Find the street that the Bidwell training center used to be on – once you’ve found it, you’ll know you are correct.
Turn left at the northernmost end of that street – on to a street that ends with an n.
Stay on that street for a while, and (virtually) cross the freeway, where the street continues on the other side. Right after the freeway, you should see text reading “Bidwell Training Center” on a nearby building. Take coordinate readings under the logo, and the cache is 192ft away at a bearing of 145 degrees. Look for a lock n’ lock.
You can validate your puzzle solution with
certitude.
