Die vielen positiven Rückmeldungen zu unserer Serie des Berner Stadtbachs haben uns inspiriert, einen neuen Fluss in Angriff zu nehmen. Dieses Mal ist es die Urtene (auch „Urtenenbach“ genannt), welche in der Nähe von Münchenbuchsee entspringt und durch den Moossee fliesst, bis sie zwischen Bätterkinden und Schalunen in die Emme mündet.
Als Orientierungshilfe findest Du ein paar Kartenausschnitte für diese Etappe, in welchen der Bach blau (oberirdisch) oder rot gestrichelt (unterirdisch) eingezeichnet ist. Achtung: Der folgende Link startet den Download einer Datei mit weiteren Details, die zum Finden des Geocaches benötigt werden. Als Cachebesitzer versichere ich, dass diese Datei ungefährlich ist. Die Datei und ihr Inhalt sind nicht vom Geocaching HQ oder einem Geocache Reviewer auf schädlichen Inhalt überprüft worden und die Datei wird auf eigene Gefahr heruntergeladen. Download aus Dropbox.

Den zweiten Teil startest Du in der Nähe des Strandbads Moossee, wo Du dein Cachemobil abstellen kannst (Achtung: kostenpflichtig!). Bei den Startkoordinaten (= Stage 1) musst Du bereits die erste Aufgabe lösen. Hier befindet sich die erste Schleuse, nachdem der Urtenenbach den Moossee wieder verlassen hat. Unterwegs kannst Du den Cache GC89B9Z suchen (wenn Du ihn nicht schon gefunden hast). Das Ende befindet sich in Mattstetten. Dort kannst Du die Buslinie 38 des RBS (Regionalverkehr Bern-Solothurn) verwenden, um nach Schönbühl zu gelangen. Von dort aus hast Du z.B. Anschluss an die S-Bahn nach Bern (S8). Parkplätze sind in Mattstetten eher rar.
Wichtiger Hinweis: In jedem Logbuch oder auf jedem Logstreifen im Final findest Du Wortfetzen. Du brauchst sie, um die Schluss-Koordinaten zu berechnen. Schreib’ sie also an einem sicheren Ort auf. Pass’ auf, dass Du den richtigen Wortfetzen notierst – es gibt einen für die deutsche und einen für die englische Fassung.

Das Bauernhaus an der Unterdorfstrasse 2wurde 1850 im Sichtriegbau unter Ründidach erbaut. Der Speicher im Kantholz-Ständerbau stammt bereits aus dem Jahre 1755. Beide Bauten zählen zu den schützenswerten Gebäuden der Gemeinde.
Stage 6:
Wieviele (sichtbare) Tierbeine gibt es auf allen Schildern (ohne das kleine gelbe) zusammen? = F =

Auf dieser Sitzbank kannst Du bequem Platz nehmen, um die Final-Koordinaten zu berechnen.
Final-Berechnung:
Suche mit den Buchstaben A bis F und den gefundenen Zahlen im Wimmelbild die passenden Schilder und entschlüssle die Schriftzeichen auf dem Schild (Beispiel: A = 9, suche das Schild A9):
Setze die entschlüsselten Zeichen an der richtigen Stelle ein (z.B. A9 ergibt die Zahl 3: in den Finalkoordinaten bei A eine 3 einsetzen). Ist die entschlüsselte Zahl zweistellig, dann nimm die kleinere Zahl:

The many positive responses to our series on Berne's Stadtbach have inspired us to tackle a new stream. This time it's the Urtene (also known as the ‘Urtenenbach’), which rises near Münchenbuchsee and flows through the Moossee until it joins the Emme between Bätterkinden and Schalunen.
As an orientation aid, you will find a few map sections for this stage, in which the stream is marked in blue (above ground) or dashed red (underground). Attention: The following link starts the download of a file with further details needed to find the geocache. As the cache owner, I assure you that this file is not dangerous. You start the second part near the Moossee lido, where you can park your car (note: there is a charge!). At the start coordinates (= Stage 1) you already have to solve the first task. Here you will find the first lock after the Urtenenbach has left the Moossee. On the way you can look for the cache GC89B9Z (if you haven't already found it). The end is in Mattstetten. There you can take the RBS (Regionalverkehr Bern-Solothurn) bus line 38 to Schönbühl. From there you have a connection to the S-Bahn to Bern (S8), for example. The farmhouse on Unterdorfstrasse 2 was built in 1850 in an exposed timber construction under a rustic roof. The granary in a square timber frame construction dates back to 1755 and both buildings are among the municipality's listed buildings.

Final calculation:
Use the letters A to F and the numbers found in the hidden object picture to find the matching signs and decipher the characters on the sign (example: A = 9, find the sign A9). If the deciphered number has two digits, take the smaller digit:
