Geocache Description:

Born in 1948, founding Black Sabbath in 1968, dropping his first solo album in 1980, and dying this year, John "Ozzy" Osbourne was a hero to me. I grew up listening to Black Sabbath and other Ozzy projects and to this day, I still listen to his music all the time. I think his voice was one of a kind, the music he helped create was original and impactful, and he was just an all-around awesome and funny guy. There will never be another Ozzy, and for that, the world is a little bit emptier.

To honor Ozzy I will be placing three high-altitude caches so he can "Fly High Again". This cache is up the Butterfield Peaks Road. There are many ways to access this cache, I used the Yellow Fork Trailhead. That route is about 12 miles round-trip. You could also come down the road from Butterfield Peak too, which is probably easier. I still need to try that route. Either way, prepare for a long, difficult hike. The incline is mostly gradual and has shade for a good portion of the trail, so it isn't the most difficult hike ever, mainly just really long. The cache itself is an ammo can at the base of a large Douglas Fir. It is hidden under some rocks. Please rehide it well! There is some bushwhack between the cache and the road, but if you take one of the trails the cows make, it isn't horrible.

There are some great views up here of the city, lake, and mountain range. You probably won't see too many people up here either.

Cache contains some Ozzy S.W.A.G. and some other trinkets, as well as a pencil.

Inside the logbook is a code. Find all three Ozzy caches to find the final cache!
