Geocache Description:

Now here's a new concept, spectator geocaching. This cache is placed as a challenge to WE4NCS. His commitment to Geocaching has allowed him to find 999 caches in less than 16 months. To commemorate find #1000 the Committee has created this special cache. It will be left in place with a few minor modifications for those who dare to follow in the footsteps of greatness.

Since Geocaching.com does not allow for a cache type to be altered once it is posted I will archive this as an event cache and resubmit it as a traditional multi with some minor modifications for the rest of the community to seek. Happy Trails! Of course this cache had to be a multistage quest to acknowledge the creator of such fine caches as Tour de Crabtree , and Wimberly Trek ATT . Some of the containers along the way should be familiar, some not. Some special Equipment may be necessary for this quest. First a full tank of gas, and good road maps of NC and VA, the yellow pages from Rocky Mount, a medium duty portable generator along with 500 feet of extension cord, drills, saws, a night vision scope, a Gerber multi tool, a Smith & Wesson 44 Magnum (with extra ammo), a sledge hammer, a chain saw, a ladder, climbing belt and safety harness, a hard hat, safety glasses, work lights, bug spray, rope, gloves, Dremel tool (with assorted bits), Duct tape, battery charger, a pair of FRS radios, the dog, the wife, food, an Atomic clock, first aid kit, water purification kit, propane torch, Palm 515, a G drive, camera, tent, ammo, flack jacket, chisel, boots, hip waders, canoe paddle, mirror, protractor, one large rubber band, one small rubber band, 15 inches of twine, and a shovel. The quest begins at the listed coordinates. Plan on at least 3-4 hours to complete this arduous trek. PS:Anyone desiring to view his experiences on Saturday should post a note to this page and you will be contacted with further details.
