Geocache Description:

A series of off-set micros following the Lake to Lake Trail through Bellevue, ending with a full size cache of goodies.

The Lake to Lake Trail is a combination of sidewalks, urban trails and park trails. It leads to and through some very interesting and pretty parks. There are quite a number of caches along the trail (below is a list of them) which would make for a full day of caching if you tried to do them all while solving this one - not to mention the time spent enjoying the parks. Over the last two years I've been planning this, I've had to make several changes as caches show up - some literally within feet of the spot I was going to use. I hope you get as much enjoyment out of doing this cache as I've had setting it up.

Each micro contains the co-ords for the next off-set waypoint ("off-set cache" = virtual stop to gather numbers giving co-ords for container). The first 'micro' contains a worksheet that contains the questions for the rest of the series. It also has Nudges, Hints and Clues for each micro (I don't believe in hintless hunts) - being that they aren't on the website you'll have to decrypt in the field!

Go to the listed co-ords, answer the following questions and you're off!

Bridge to Nowhere Diff 1.5 Terr. 2

  • A = # of fish (salmon?) in picture
  • B = If each icon boat caught 1 icon fish, how many icon fish left?
  • C = # of road ID's minus the # of highway ID's
  • D = Trail length (in miles) minus 1
  • E = # of numbered road ID's

Micro: 47 35.CBE 122 11.ADE

Parking for this micro is either 47 35.ECA 122 11.46E (listed terrain, easy to get to, a little longer walk) or 47 35.CD9 122 10.9DE (add 0.5 to terrain, harder to get to, a little shorter walk, plus an another cache nearby). Whichever way you approach the cache, continue ahead on the loop for more signs/info about the area.

Final note: A calculator may be nice. Can you say 'decimal division?'

7-10-04 Note: The 'trail' to micro 4 is overgrown. Approach from the NW and stay just left of the tree.

6-25-09 Note: Micro 4 is moved, there should be no problems getting to it - finding it on the other hand...
I noticed I didn't update the D/T for micro 4 on the worksheet: it should be D3 T2

7-27-11 Note: Micro 4 is moved (once again). Again I forgot to update the worksheet D/T: D3 T1
