Geocache Description:

This standard ammo box was hidden as part of the Central Virginia Geocaching Association's River Rally III (GCVVRK) on June 10, 2006.

I thought the Jungle Book series of caches by BikeAnPaddleBunch was an ingenious idea, so I asked them if they'd mind if I added to it. Thus was born King Louie, perhaps the swingingest swinger ever to live in the jungle. After you've done this cache, check out the others in the series: Mowgli, Baloo, Bagheera, and Shere Khan.

The best place to park (after paying your parking fee at the shack at the park entrance) is to follow State Park Rd all the way in to the huge parking lot near the playground. You can't miss it. After parking, head back towards State Park Rd and you should see a sign on the left directing you to Powhatan Trail. You won't have to go more than 10 to 15 feet off the trail for this cache if you do it right.

Your hunt has begun.

And one last thing: if the disposable camera is still in the cache, PLEASE take a photo of yourself or your group and return it to the cache. Thanks!

Original cache contents:
  • logbook and pen
  • disposable camera - take your photo and replace the camera
  • 1 ready-made bison-tube micro cache

  • 1 lanyard
  • 1 Independence Golf Course rubber bracelet
  • 1 tube of After Bite
  • 2 AA batteries
  • 2 flashlights
  • FTF prize - music CD loosely related to the name of the cache (if you get this and can't figure out the connection, look on IMDB.com for the artist's name)
