WT14-Berlin World Tour Destination Multi-Cache

Cache-tech: Greetings from Geocaching.com

I have had no contact with the cache owner since my last note and there has been no notes posted to the cache page in that time. While I feel that Geocaching.com should hold the location for you and block other cachers from entering the area around this cache for a reasonable amount of time I don’t think we can do so any longer. Therefore, I have archived this cache.
When repairs to this cache are completed and it is time to have it reposted, it will be no problem. Just drop me a note and let me know the GC waypoint number of the cache or better yet, the URL of the cache page. You will still be able to access your cache page just as before by going to your “My Cache Page” and clicking the link (Mine) across the top and then click on this cache.

I will be more than happy to take a look at your cache again to see if it is still is within the guidelines of the Geocaching.com website for cache placement and posting.

I want to thank you for the time that you have taken to contribute to geocaching in the past and am looking forward to seeing your cache up and running in the future.

Thanks for your understanding,
Cache-tech

Geocache Description:

I'm taking some historical liberty, but Kitchener was named Berlin, until 1916.    What Kitchener, and the real Berlin have in common, is Oktoberfest.   This cache will bring you to some related landmarks.    OK, some are actually in Waterloo, so I'm taking some geographical liberty as well.

World Tour Multi-Cacher Multi-Cache
Stage 14 of the series.
WT14-Berlin World Tour Destination
by ZübercacherZ

  1. To prepare for a tour down King ST. in either order go to:
    • the Alpine club (N43 28.350 W80 28.945).   A.AAA is the value of GEG.
    • the Concordia (N43 25.780 W80 28.852).   B.BBB is the year between the "Banquet Room" and the "Restaurant and Office" signs.
  2. Go to N43 24.359 + A.AAA
             W80 25.806 + B.BBB.   There, determine the value of GEGR (C.CCC).
  3. Go to N43 25.015 + C.CCC
             W80 27.340 + C.CCC.   There, determine the year of the 'unveiling' (D.DDD).
(careful, parking can be an issue here)
  4. Go to N43 25.358 + D.DDD
             W80 28.358 + D.DDD.    There, count the graphics of castle turrets (= E.0).
(there are 3 sets, one out front, two in the back, you just need to count those in one of these sets)
  5. Go to N43 20.689 + E
             W80 24.281 + E.   There, count the beer steins (= F.0).
  6. Go to N43 21.852 + F
             W80 24.748 + F.   When was this landmark erected.    (G.GGG)
Not an Oktoberfest landmark, but the tour down King St. is complete.    This stage offers proof of my historical liberty.
  7. The cache is at:
    N43 24.967 + G.GGG
    W80 28.812 + G.GGG

The "World Tour" Multi-Cacher Multi-Cache is a cooperative effort of 18 Geocachers.   Each of the individual Stage caches may be treated as a normal, single cache.    You can complete the 20 Stages in any order.    Each Stage will include a *SECRET*, written on the underside of the cache container lid.    Don't forget to write it down if you plan to tackle the Final Stage!
