Following in the footsteps of Lars Saabye Christensen and his fab four heroes through Nordmarka, in the popular novel "Beatles".
The very name of this lake smells of wilderness, long hikes and the very soul of Nordmarka. You are following in the footsteps of legions of hikers through these forests over the recent centuries - including those fabulous four young men depicted by author Lars Saabye Christensen in one of his most successful novels, "Beatles". Somewhere around here is where they supposedly stayed on the third night of their cross-marka adventure trip sometime in the mid-60s. There's no trace of the cabin they get to borrow in the book. But the dam from where they engage in some highly unusual fishing methods, guided by the girl with the sun in her eyes, is certainly there.
Note: The cache is not at the above coordinates. To find it, you'll need to visit Puking into a Tent, which is part of a bigger mystery geocache, « With the Beatles». The cache is a military-style metal container, clipped to a chubby spruce tree, and secured with real Clas Ohlsson no-nonsense velcro. It is (OF COURSE!) snow proof and winter available. Initial contents: Partial coordinates for " With the Beatles", written on orange paper and enshrined in plastic. 4 vinyl Beatles stickers 3 Beatles post cards Possibly some Beatles pins Moose post cards Bernhard cards Bungalow Bill fear chaser Mobildongle from Hong Kong TB Phone Box CD Vorspiel Collection, including Jokke og Valentinerne's "Koteletter". BookCrossing kit FTF certificate that I didn't bother to fill in as it started to rain during the intallation ceremony
