Geocache Description:

Welcome to the Medina Count Parks "Paths to Pollinators" series. The Princess Ledges portion of your adventure starts in the parking lot located at 4361 Spruce Avenue in Brunswick Hills.  A little over ½ mile round-trip hike will be required to complete this leg of the journey. Follow the written directions to retrieve important information which will allow you to locate and open the container to collect your Passport code word for a prize, a clue to the Bonus Cache and to sign the log book. There are seven caches and a bonus in this series.

There is a rubber stamp inside of this container. IT IS NOT SWAG! Please do not take it! Letterboxer’s, please bring your own ink. There is no ink pad in the container. Please bring a pen with you to sign the log.

Begin by heading to the Scenic Overlook at the posted coordinates.  While remaining in the grassy area, look to the west for the bee house. It looks like a bird house, but with many small holes in the front. A bee house may be used by solitary bees, which are bees that nest individually, rather than in large colonies like honeybees do.

How many holes are in each horizontal row of holes? A = _______

How many holes are in each vertical column of holes? B = _______

Now turn back toward the parking area and turn right to take the Nature Trail/Ledge Trail into the woods.  When you reach a fork in the path, turn right.  You will reach a set of "stairs”. As you descend the steps, look to the right and you will see some sandstone ledges.

Follow the trail as it gently curves through the forest. You will pass over a bridge that has a plaque next to it. Count the number of horizontal planks used to construct this bridge. CD= ________

Continue following the Ledges Trail and you will soon cross over another foot bridge.  Proceed between the two large fallen trees, then past another set of ledges.  Continue straight toward a third set of ledges. Just before you descend and reach the end of the trail you will see a tree stump with a fallen tree leaning against it.  Look there for the container that is tucked in the stump!

Use the numbers that you collected by observing the bee box and the wooden bridge planks to unlock the lock. (ABCD)

Sign the logbook , collect your code word, and stamp your letterboxing book if you have one. Don't forget to return the letterbox stamp to the container. To re-lock the container, push the shackle in and scramble the dials. Once you have collected your Passport code word and Bonus Cache clue, return down the path and take the trail to your right to return to the parking lot.

The container is located within 15 feet of the trail. Use stealth while searching and re-hide the containers so that they cannot be seen to avoid potential vandalism. Park closes at dark.
