Catlady and I enjoy doing multi-caches that require more time to
complete. We find working towards a goal adds some extra enjoyment
to our caching outings. Many of these multi-caches have taken us to
places beyond our local caching area. In the last year we have
completed several of these Multi/Challenge caches:
The Connecticut Delorme Challenge (GCXEGV)
New England Challenge (GC27MHQ)
Hartford A-Z (GC1A3HC)
While we were completing these multi-cache challenges we got the
inspiration to create our own challenge along the way. We really
enjoy doing the old virtual caches and we decided to challenge
ourselves to find all of the 15 virtual caches still active in
Connecticut. This took us all over the State and we saw some
interesting sights. When we completed our personal challenge we
thought that other cachers would enjoy the experience as well so we
created this cache. We chose the location for the final because it
would have made a great virtual cache. You can continue up the
trail for a spectacular view. We hope this cache will motivate you.
Are you ready to be virtually challenged?
Logging Requirements In order to log this cache you must
find 11 of the 15 active Connecticut Virtual Caches. Those
completing all 15 will get a special mention as a “virtual
warrior.”
Send me the dates that you logged each cache. There is no loging
requirement for the date. If you have already logged 11 virtuals
you can go for the cache.
The Cache
The cache has a terrain rating of 4 because that is the highest
rating of one of the caches you need to find. The difficulty rating
is a 5 because it will take some effort to complete. The actual
final cache is a normal sized lock and lock.
