What an adventure. I solved the puzzle with agent 26....She is my bookworm...but I went hunting for the treasure with agents 16 and 27....my two 5 year olds. We tried entering from the north side, but soon found large men carrying big sticks wacking some little white thing around. We decided we needed to sneak in from the south side. We encountered chaos posing as geese, but we fooled them as innocent bistanders going for a sight seeing walk. Dodging the fake goose poop was the hardest part. Then we dashed into the woods unnoticed. We searched and almost gave up wondering if we had the right location. But we used all our agent training to uncover the secret location. We believe this was the most fun cache to date. We were excited to find the travel bug, although it is still a mystery how there is no record of how it came from South Dakota to Oklahoma. We are contacting Indiana Jones for his help. Will place in a new location soon. Agent 22...signing out.

Last Log having fun visiting "Beyond the Kiln" cache in Arizona's Dead Horse Ranch State Park located in Cottonwood, Az. Funny name for a park... The story of the park's name begins with the Ireys family, who came to Arizona from Minnesota looking for a ranch to buy in the late 1940's. At one of the ranches they discovered a large dead horse lying by the road. After two days of viewing ranches, Dad Ireys asked the kids which ranch they liked the best. The kids said, "the one with the dead horse, Dad!" The Ireys family chose the name Dead Horse Ranch and later, in 1973, when Arizona State Parks acquired the park, the Ireys made retaining the name a condition of sale....
Today it is a great park complete with trails and lagoons that are kept stocked for fishing. The park also has RV camping complete with water and electricity.

    • View of Jerome from Dead Horse Ranch State Park Located high on top of Cleopatra Hill (5,200 feet) between Prescott and Flagstaff is the historic copper mining town of Jerome. When walking through this town you are given an opportunity to take a step back in time, feel the past and experience life as it might have been during its heyday.
Founded in 1876, Jerome was once the fourth largest city in the Arizona Territory. Jerome sits above what was the largest copper mine in Arizona and produced an astonishing 3 million pounds of copper per mo
