My mission is to travel back to my homeland, the Red Beds of Texas. If you can head me in that direction, please move me along.
This Dimetrodon is the first to begin its homeward to the Red Beds of Texas, where they lived during the Permian period 295-272 million years ago, prior to dinosaur times. There were many species of these "mammal-like reptiles", called synapsids. Its name means "Two measures of teeth" because it had two shapes of tooth. It had a sail on its spine, the function of which is thought to be for mating display. They ranged in size from 2 to 15 feet in length. A truly impressive carnivore, this is the first prehistoric beast to search its way home.

Picked up today and will be moving South. Now that I've done research on the Red Beds, I see we have taken it the wrong direction. We'll rectify that as soon as possible.
