Current Goal

The race is on between me and a Minnesota Viking travel bug. I hope to make it to all 32 NFL stadiums before that other bug does. If you are not going to a stadium, please pass me on and get me as close as you can. Oh, by the way, please leave me in the states as I do not have a passport.

About This Item

BRONCOS RULE!!

When we arrive at the stadium, take our picture, punch a hole next to the stadium and then take me to another stadium or to another cache. Don't forget to post you picture on the travel bug site. Remember, I'm in a contest so don't hold on to me for too long. If I win, the winner of the other travel bug will have to dress in Bronco colors, attend a football game with my owner and cheer for Denver.

As the last stop in his midwest driving tour, the Denver Bronco Travel Bug stopped at the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, OH. There he visited Fawcett Stadium and the Hall of Fame itself. In deference to the awesome talent of the players represented, this was one place that the DBTB maintained his dignity and toned down his usual nefarious activities. Of course, he just couldn't resist scribbling a few mustaches on the Vikings players' pictures, but other than that he was a model fan and enjoyed the tour.

After the short stop in Cleveland, the Denver Bronco Travel Bug scooted on over to one of the least known stadiums in the NFL, Ralph Wilson Stadium, home of the Buffalo Bills. He didn't stop for long, though, because he wanted to get a glimpse of the world-famous Niagara Falls while he was in the area. So, the DBTB took a rushed picture in front of the totally nondescript Buffalo venue, hurried through a quick chorus of the Denver fight song, and then hot-footed it for the Canadian border. Without a passport, he could only see the magnificent falls from the American side but even that was an awesome sight.

Continuing on his trek across the midwest, the Denver Bronco Travel Bug stopped at the home of the Cleveland Browns, one of the few stadiums left in the USA that isn't named for a corporation rather than the team. The DBTB was a little tipsy by the time he got to the stadium because he'd had a few too many beers at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame next door, so he really didn't have the strength to properly vandalize the place. Instead, he just left his half-finished Corona bottle on the walkway in hopes that one of the Browns players would trip themselves on their way into preseason practice.

The Denver Bronco Travel Bug got an itch to see some equine relatives so it saddled up it's ride (a bronco, of course) and headed for Lucas Oil Stadium, the home of the Indianapolis Colts. The DBTB had been to Indy before and seen the Indianapolis RCA Dome, but since then the older dome stadium had been replaced with a more modern facility, complete with a sliding roof to let in the sun. The DBTB stamped around outside and heckled the tourists in the area for a while, but when he got hungry he moseyed on over to the Circle Center Shopping Plaza and got lost for hours in the above-ground maze of walkways.

The Denver Bronco TB had a hankering for some seafood and since he was traveling east anyway, he decided on a short detour to visit Gillette Stadium, home of the New England Patriots. It was a beautiful day in Boston and that doesn't often, so the DBTB gave the city a break from his standard NFL-bashing. Besides, he figured that Boston had endured enough humiliation at the hands of the LA Lakers in the NBA finals that week. So, instead, the DBTB enjoyed the sunny weather (and a yummy cup of lobster bisque) at a nearby Legal Seafood restaurant. On his way out, though, he couldn't resist a little mischief so he chucked a few empty clam shells near the locker room to trip up any of those silly Patriots that happened by in the off season.
