Current Goal

This TB started at Kariya Park in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. Mississauga is twinned with the city of Kariya, Japan and she'd love to make it there and back.

She'd also like to stop at Japanese themed places like Japantown in San Francisco, Japanese Gardens and Sushi Bars around the world.

    Looks like the Kariya Swimmer travel bug has been killed by "cache climber". I've sent numerous messages to this individual, even offering to pick up the cost of sending this travel bug back to me via postal mail. All these messages have gone unanswered, and they have held onto her for almost one year now.

    To be fair, they have not been out geocaching in this time - but they are checking in with geocaching.com - latest login was just over a week ago. It would have been courteous to at least send me a note.....

    Didn't know what its goal was but decided to pick it up soon. I'm not going to Japan any time soon but I love sushi so I will bring it to alot of sushi bars.

    This fish has spent the last couple of weeks seeing the sights in and around Vancouver, British Columbia. In fact, it has been to so many sushi restaurants it's lucky it hasn't been eaten! Visited Vancouver's historic Chinatown, rode the skytrain, toured Science World, and took its first dip in the Pacific Ocean. Also took a hayride around the pumpkin patch to experience some of the local Halloween culture.

    We picked Kariya up a while ago and my Dad was going to drop him off in Narita Japan....
    Unfortunately Dad is not the best geocacher and couldn't locate the only geocache close to his hotel....
    This means that Kariya traveled to Japan did a bit of a tour of Narita Japan by hiking and train and then flew back to Canada...
    We wanted to drop him off then at our cottage in Western Ontario but forgot him at home...
