To visit my host family in Munich. The Lüdicke family hosted me way back in 1990 and I have recently reconnected with them after many years of not having the right contact info. Once this coin gets to Munich, please contact me and I will supply their address and phone number for anyone interested in making the final leg of the journey.
I will never forget the Lüdicke family and their gracious hospitality. They hosted me for 4 months during a semester abroad and when I was called to serve in Iraq, went out of their way to make sure I had enough money to get an upgrade to my return flight. I stayed with them on a return trip 2 years later and was welcome with open arms.
I remember the bike rides through Munich and into the countryside. I remember going to the family garden outside of town. I remember going to the Army base to buy "Reeses" for my oldest host brother, Beno, who couldn't get enough of them. I remember my yougest host brother, Felix, and his love of trains and all things U-bahn. And then there's Fabian, the middle brother, who was very patient with me and trying to teach me the ways of Germans.
