About This Item

My 1000 find was El Diablo GC1251Y. It was a very well done cache on an abandoned railroad bridge. If the cache is ever archived, I'll add more to this description. A special thanks to H2Guy for placing El Diablo, and then for giving me this coin to celebrate the event.

A very clever out in the open hide worthy of the Coit series. I've been wondering how to make PVC work like this! The camo is a white and orange buried wire marker along just about every street. He took different size PVC pipes and put them together. A long small end has been hammered down into the ground. About two feet up, the PVC expands to a larger size PVC with a screw-off cap. The log is inside this section. The whole PVC set-up is covered by the white and orange marker.

I just like these style of hides. This one makes use of the stage and black pole holding up the ampitheater. The cache looks like a solid black electrical panel.

This cache is located on a steel structure a lot like power towers. It's painted orange, but time and weather have peeled much of it off or turned it brown. The cache has been camoed to match it's surrounding. Well done!

Most H2Guy hides are difficult with a needle in the haystack feel. This is a very clever cache that makes the obvious not so obvious. The cache is a hollowed out paddle lock. He added a heavy chain to a picnic table in a pavillion. Many tables have real chains and locks. You pull the face of the lock and there is the log.
