About This Item

My 1000 find was El Diablo GC1251Y. It was a very well done cache on an abandoned railroad bridge. If the cache is ever archived, I'll add more to this description. A special thanks to H2Guy for placing El Diablo, and then for giving me this coin to celebrate the event.

I loved this cache. It's a green cable cover. It's the 5 gallon sized ones that say cable on top. This cache had actual cables that came out of the side and base and went down into the ground. It looked real until you twisted and picked up.

This is a string cache that I have not seen before. Noodling the beads is something I had to think about. There are two bracelets with beads on them. You have to pay attention to the spacing. You can count the beds between spaces to be the coordinates.

This was a very cool cache right there with Fiat Lux. The cache sight is an old car port. Everything around it is gone, so it looks out of place. It is essentially four poles and roof. In the middle of the ceiling is a light socket. A fake light has been inserted into the socket. You can drive right under the cache.

A small copse of woods near Prairie Creek. There is a bit is construction waste laying around. There are a series of black foam tubing laying around. Some of them are half buried in the ground. A piece of the tubing has been cut off and a cache placed in one end. The end with the cache is velcroed to another tube that is buried in the ground. The way it is positioned, it makes this small tube also look like it goes into the ground.

This is one rockin' cache. It's a PVC pipe with a hole at a bottom. You have to cover the hole and add water. The cache floats right up to the top.
