Visited 3/18/2013 JeePSer took it to Send-off in the Boonies Iowa - 4.54 miles  Visit Log

(5948) This was a bitter sweet event for us. We have many fond memories of caching in Iowa and love the people that we've met. We were glad so many could make it to the event (31) but it reminded us what we are leaving behind. We got so many well wishes, cards and gifts that we were overwhelmed with the generosity of our Iowa geocaching family. We plan on visiting Iowa and plan to be at Wapello in 2013 with the newest member of the JeePSer clan.

swr_rat: JeePS(her) has a co-worker who told a story about how her husband and 2 of his co-workers had found a cache. Reading logs on the 3 Elves' anniversary cache we found the story logged by swr_rat to be very familiar. We called him out at the next Boonies event and sure enough he was one of the co-workers in the story.

The NVG: We were thrilled to see you at the event. Yours was the very first event the Lil' JeePSr attended. It was a flash mob WWFM V "Breaking Away" (GC1N81M) and she was 8 days old. We never did find our own trail of honor cache - perhaps the next time we are in the area 🙂

gmsnrich: You guys always make events fun between coming to flash mobs with the appropriate clothing to having fun with mice near the cabins in Wapello. JeePS(her) really needs to get that video finished and published!

corefam: One of the fondest memories is a pregnant Mrs. Corefam sitting on the concrete outside our Pleasant Hill house with a lap full of plastic easter eggs.

jstrout: We truly appreciate your friendship. You've always gone out of your way to talk to Lil' JeePSr and make geocaching and events as fun for her as they are for us.

Cjandbjjones: More generous cachers you will not find and their surprises are never small, ask Lil’ JeePSr who was the recipient of a hand made Flintstones car that took up our entire front room.

Mon"rose": One of the east side cachers that made our modest 153 day streak possible, also one of the first pathtaggers that we found in Iowa. Always good for a chat and some TB trading.

biscuitt bunch and G-daug: I believe that our first true meeting was at the campsite playground in Wapello, but one of the fondest memories would be completing the Iowa 5 terrain challenge with you (and others).

Hill Folk: What can we say about Hill Folk. We met you at the very first event we attended and hit it off right away. Since then we’ve considered you family both in and out of geocaching. You make it very difficult for us to leave Iowa, but we know that we’ll see you again.

Digger9: We’ve tried to make it to all of your events, sometimes unsuccessfully 🙂 But our fondest memory is caching with you and sitting by the ring of fire at Midwest Geobash in 2010.

Team Gamsci: One of the first cachers that we met on the trail. We were looking for a cache in a giant hollowed out tree in Waterworks park when all of the Gamsci crew showed up to help us make the find.

The 3 Elves: Our east side partners in crime. We’ve cached with them often and will continue to do so. Together we are The 3PSers 🙂 and we find sh!t fast 🙂 We hosted the Boonies events together and have had many breakfast get togethers that didn’t involve caching. We will miss you dearly.

THINKEN5 and rogfink: We had a lot of fun at your St. Paddy’s day event last year and Lil’ JeePSr loved the puppies. We’re sorry we couldn’t make the same event this year but we were delighted to see you both this evening.

Stephenjha and Jorsha: The two cachers at the event that I have never really met. Talking to you however our paths have crossed often, and perhaps they will again in future. Thanks for coming out.

I hope we didn’t miss any of the attendees, apologies if we did. We know that the evening didn’t suit others who would have liked to be there. Unfortunately we needed to suit our own moving schedule for this one. Thanks to everyone who was there in person and to those who attended in spirit. See you on the trails! JeePSer.

Retrieve It from a Cache 12/12/2012 JeePSer retrieved it from 12-12-12: Wieners at the End of the World Iowa   Visit Log

(5923) Finally attended one of these lunch time events. Not sure why we don't attend more of them. We'd never been here and it was nice to try a new venue out. The food was good as was the company. Thanks for the event, our last one of 2012. See you all in 2013.

Retrieve It from a Cache 12/8/2012 JeePSer retrieved it from Christmas Time in the 515 Iowa   Visit Log

(5922) Great to see everyone again this year. It was a fun event and one that holds good memories for us as a family. Merry Christmas everyone and we wish you all a happy, safe and healthy 2013. See you in the new year.

Visited 11/10/2012 JeePSer took it to Splish, splash Iowa - .07 miles  Visit Log

(5920) Quick stop by the pool as we were heading out. Thanks to slow service at dinner we were still on site after the start time of the event and JeePS(her) decided to head down to the pool to see if we could sign the log. Neat idea for a log book! It's a pity that it could be at the bottom of the pool, but at the same time we were grateful that we were able to sign it without getting too wet! Looks like people were having a fun time, we were sorry that we weren't able to stay longer. Thanks for the event."

Visited 11/10/2012 JeePSer took it to Finish What You Started Iowa   Visit Log

(5887) After a good sleep and a nice breakfast at the hotel restuarant it was time to finish what we started. Well, we didn't finish and I am not sure that we can even say that we made a dent, so I guess that means there needs to be a few more events here. Thanks for the great event. We love this hotel and after our last (not so great) stay we were pleased to see them redeem themselves. Connie in the restaurant took care of us all weekend long, even when she wasn't waiting on us. It was great to see all of our friends who seem to accumulate in and gravitat to Southeast Iowa even though they are from all corners of the state and beyond state lines. Thanks for the event

Visited 11/9/2012 JeePSer took it to Bucky's Meet n Greet Iowa - .05 miles  Visit Log

(5886) Lil' JeePSr decided after the sweater party that it was time to go to bed. She really wasn't all that interested in heading to the party until lagrac talked her into it. With that she made an appearance in her pjs for maybe 5 minutes and then told JeePS(him) that it was time to head back to her room. JeePS(her) hung out at the meet a greet solo for the remainder of the evening. Thanks for the event.

Visited 11/9/2012 JeePSer took it to IT'S an UGLY SWEATER PARTY!! Iowa - 17.95 miles  Visit Log

(5885) We had sweaters for this party courtesy of the CO but unfortunatly (or fortunately depending on how you look at it) Lil' JeePSr decided that it was dinner time before the photo session so we had to bail on the party a little early. The pathtag club was a fun idea and the trees that members got were fantastic! Way to go BJ ... many hours of work went into those. We did end the weekend trading with all members of the club, many of whom hunted us down in the restaurant . Thanks for the event.

Visited 11/9/2012 JeePSer took it to A Rather "Egg-Ceptional" Event! Iowa - 17.93 miles  Visit Log

(5884) Trust the monkey to come up with another fun idea for an event. Unfortunately the timing of this one coincided with the opening of the pool and Lil' JeePSr had been promised pool time all day so she and JeePS(her) watched the festivited through the windows while JeePS(him) attended the event solo. By the looks of things JeePS(her) and Lil' JeePSr weren't the only ones getting wet! Seems to have been a fun time had by all - just as well the temps were above freezing
