the feisty pet parrot of Steve 'Crocodile
Hunter' Irwin has had his feathers
severely ruffled after being fired as the advertising mascot for the Animal
Planet TV channel.
Armed with the determination of a mosquito on an
elephant's butt, Dinkum is dead keen on returning to OZ to track down his loyal
master, once again....Fair Dinkum, mate!
Dinkum's rapid success in showbiz came
to a screeching halt one day during a TV production shoot. Sitting atop a
microphone boom crane, Dinkum chose a very unfotunate time to ,
er , how should we say, rev up his exhaust system and let one almighty burst of
white parrot guano flying down onto the completely follically-challenged head of
the Director. Enraged, the bald dude chased the Parrot from Down-Under all over
the studio before catching him.
In anger, the Director opened a
refrigerator on the set nearby and threw him in the freezer.
He was forever known on the set as

and told that he would never work in this town again !
"Hoo
Boy!", said Dinkum after someone opened the
Fridge.
"I hate to find out what that poor chicken back there did wrong ..."

After working as a bartender in Vegas, Dinkum realized the truth, work sucks. He bet all his earnings on the ponies trying to hit it big, make the cash of yesteryear in showbiz. I found him hiding from the loan sharks in Picture This. He had half a bag of sunflower seeds to his name and thats it. You didn't hear it from me but I think he's ready to make amends with the director. Anyway, he's making big promises to me in return for getting him closer to the coast & a ride home - I hope he delivers!

Dinkum made his journey to las Vegas with southpaw and crafty from Twin falls, Idaho. Made many new friends on the way south. He did all the rounds of the casinos and made a killing. Rolling in the proverbial mountain of bird feed. Unfortunately, he lost it all as quickly as he won it. Took lots of pictures, had lots of fun. Now dinkum is working in Las Vegas and waiting for his ride to the coast. I''m going to miss that parrot. Remember Dinkum, you promised to write.

Received Dinkum from Balanced Rock, ID. He was lounging there at the site, waiting for a ride south. We obliged, and he is now preparing for a raucous time in Glitter City, known to all as Las Vegas. Dinkum says he is fresh out of TV residuals and the cache ($$$$) of a lifetime awaits him in Las Vegas, all he needs is to get there. What an optimist!
