Found this on my first little solo mini-vacation just to visit the FQ for a day. Checked off my to-do's including this new virtual "007" cache, the fountain pen and ink store, and gumbo for lunch at the Gumbo Shop on a mid-day walk. Also visited the nearby flower shop to do a little good deed and met Chloe the cat. I was frozen and captive on a train for 13 hours the next day, but this was a fun trip! :) #752

Goodness, time flies. Hard to believe it's been so long since I've found a geocache.

Virtuals are some of my favorites, and this one is at the beautiful Korean War Memorial which we visited on the first day of this trip to DC. Amanda, Brenda, and I enjoyed walking (lots!) around the National Mall right after we arrived on the Crescent today. Truly "Freedom Is Not Free," as part of this memorial reminds us. God bless our military for their sacrifices and bravery.

Brenda broke her arm the next day at the Marine Memorial near Arlington National Cemetery. We got to tour an emergency room in Virginia.

Amanda and I did get to tour the White House the following day, though. Nice!

#751, the only one for this DC visit. I need to start doing a little more caching.

Went ahead and got cache find #750 today, too; another quick and easy one close to home; one of Jazz's. Also signed this log in remembrance of our sweet, loving, brave Buster, and uploaded his beautiful picture again, taken on January 23 of this year just about the time his health was beginning to decline.

Momma loves you so much, my sweet sweet boy! How blessed we were to have you in our lives! We got you on Good Friday, March 25, 2005, when you were not quite 3 months old. Thank You, Lord, for sharing this precious little creature of Yours with us.

  • Our sweet sweet boy, Buster, age 12 Love you forever. What a blessing you are!

Oh me, a hard week this week, but as always a blessed one, too. My sweet, brave, loving boy Buster went to be with the Lord on Tuesday morning, Aug. 15. Mel and I were so blessed to have him in our lives. I was blessed to be with him for almost 12-1/2 years. He was truly our little dog-child and I love and miss him so much.

Gen 1:25, Matt 10:29, and Rev 5:13, among other Scriptures about God's love for His creatures, are my comfort.

I needed a distraction and had been meaning to find this nearby cache of Karen's, so International Geocaching Day motivated me to get out and go find it. Even with my rusty cache-finding skills, it was a quick and easy one. Signed the log in remembrance of sweet Buster.

Visited 3/9/2017 busternfruss took it to Parkerson Mill Alabama - .75 miles  Visit Log

Found this cache at a beautiful spot behind Panni George's restaurant in Auburn, and enjoyed seeing the turtles in the pond. Buster was at AU having many tests done today. Love my sweet boy!

Found this quick cache at lunch while my precious Buster is seeing a cardiologist at the animal hospital at Auburn University.

Dragged Amanda and Brenda through the back hills of Canada to get a photo for this virtual cache. We enjoyed our day at Epcot! #746

Visited 10/26/2016 busternfruss took it to EPCOT Florida - 387.79 miles  Visit Log

Found this virtual cache while enjoying Epcot with Amanda and Brenda. Had a "Soarin'" good time here. #745

Visited 7/18/2016 busternfruss took it to Quick park and grab seeing how our area needs more Alabama - 63.03 miles  Visit Log

This has become a regular pecan stop on my way home and I was glad to see a new cache here. There's another nearby but I haven't taken the time to try for it. This one was quick and easy and #744. Leanne sent a photo of a much better guarded cache she found, LOL. Posted that photo in my log. Headed home with Buster.

Visited 7/18/2016 busternfruss took it to Stedys I-65 TB motel Alabama - 203.04 miles  Visit Log

A fast find just off I-65 on my way home from Dan's. I really wanted to find a cache at the shrimp boats and seafood markets in Bon Secour, but there were no caches there, so this one will do. (Both the markets had Scripture posted, imagine that!) This was a full size cache, but I couldn't open the container and just left our wooden nickel with it. Got bitten by a couple of ants although i didn't get off the pavement. These quick and easy ones are nice.
