I am a gypsum crystal found along I-90 just east of the rest areas east of Buffalo, Wyoming the summer of 1988. Remember the summer if 88? Everything was on fire out west. Remember the drought? My owner was at the South Dakota school of Mines Field Camp that summer in Sand Creek Canyon in the northern Black Hills. If you're ever passing through on I-90, take the Beulah, Wyoming exit and drive south. You won't be disappointed. Breathed in a lot of smoke that summer! Later that summer watched Yellowstone burn down! Could you guess my owner is a geologist? My purpose in life is to travel to and all over my home state and have my picture taken with anything "geologic". Be creative, there is so much out there that has to do with geology, but in Wyoming you can't look anywhere without seeing something geologic!

TB's don't travel much out in the middle of now where. I figured this one needed to go for a ride and spend time somewhere else.

Placed it in a cache in the mountains near a handful of abandoned silver mines. Forgot to bring my camera, so I'm sorry to say I don't have any pics.

Picked it up from a cache in the Bonneville Salt Flats... I'll try to move it along to another "geologic" location.

The salt flats and Bonneville Raceway are pretty cool! Have a picture to upload once I remember to get it off the camera! Enjoy your stay!
