Road trip. Left Inverloch but didn’t get far. Had our first stop at Wonthaggi to pick up a virtual. 🚙

Visited 8/2/2022 Wombatwandering took it to Trolls Forest Victoria, Australia - 11.3 miles  Visit Log

Successfully made it to Foster on the Rail Trail. It’s a lovely ride. Had milkshakes and cake in the town of Fish Creek along the way. Stopped for a quick cache in Foster and then it was back to Inverloch for one more night before we need to start heading north. ☀️

Visited 8/2/2022 Wombatwandering took it to Angry Birds on the Trail - Path Victoria, Australia - 16.74 miles  Visit Log

Tackled some of the Great Southern Rail Trail today. The trail is a 68km old railway line in Gippsland that is now used by hikers, bikers (us), and horse riders. We started off in Meeniyan. Lovely scenery with lots of yellow tail black cockatoos were screeching at us. 🚵🏼‍♂️

Visited 8/1/2022 Wombatwandering took it to Opa’s Cache Victoria, Australia - 1.3 miles  Visit Log

Back in Inverloch. CuteOtter and I took you for a walk down the beach and back along the creek. Our own Opa was too busy doing other things to visit this Opa cache. 👴🏻

  • Inverloch inlet and wombat, Victoria, Australia
Visited 8/1/2022 Wombatwandering took it to Walkerville Cemetery Victoria, Australia - 28.16 miles  Visit Log

Today you travelled to Walkerville which was once a booming place due to its lime kilns. Nowadays, it’s home to the Magic Beach which features in the lovely children's books by Alison Lester. Enjoyed our roam there and then battled the wind at the Cape Liptrap lighthouse. No whales to be seen. 🐋

Visited 7/31/2022 Wombatwandering took it to Wetlands Wonderland Bonus Cache Victoria, Australia - 6.6 miles  Visit Log

Up to Wonthaggi for some retail therapy. Opa went off TV shopping while I took you for a walk through a lovely wetlands area. 🐸

Now you have gone zipping down to Inverloch in Gippsland where my family has a holiday house. It’s been 4 or 5 years since I was last there and the shoreline has changed a lot. Too chilly for a swim for me today. 🌊

Visited 7/29/2022 Wombatwandering took it to 👜 #8 sharkiefan's handbag series 👜 Victoria, Australia - 6.33 miles  Visit Log

Dropping in to visit my Aunt in North Balwyn. I used to live nearby when I was at high school. North Balwyn used to be a ‘dry’ (no alcohol for sale) suburb. I assume that’s changed by now. 🚱

Visited 7/28/2022 Wombatwandering took it to The Jewel of the Yarra Victoria, Australia - 17.9 miles  Visit Log

A quick stop in central Melbourne, the capital city of Victoria and soon to be largest city in Australia. Changed trains and grabbed a sushi roll. I used to travel past this spot twice a day to get to school by tram. Never gets old, always beautiful. 😘

Visited 7/28/2022 Wombatwandering took it to Wyndham Park Victoria, Australia - 460.63 miles  Visit Log

Needed some exercise so took you to this newish park in Werribee. It’s prob been here several years but I was locked out of the country. The fairy wrens were very busy until it started to rain. Retired to a cafe to dry out and enjoy a thick shake. 🧋
