Current Goal

We started this travel bug after we found a key which was hidden by fourth graders as a part of their geography lesson. Our family thought this was a neat idea. We picked up three student's keys and with the permission expressed on the cache site (GC1CTED), we turned the keys into travel bugs for the students to watch their keys journey around the map! Two thumbs up to this school for thinking outside of the box and coming up with an exciting and engaging way to reach students. We hope that the students will enjoy watching their keys travel. This particular key was from H.B.

    This is near an Amish schoolhouse (one room) in Union County Pennsylvania. Imagine going to school with about 30 students grades 1-8 together in one school. Also imagine using the outhouse behind the school for bathroom facilities (all year round).

    This cache has been one of my best experiences in geocaching. I found a pine tree and put 12 colored bison tubes in it (only 1 contains the log). It looks a little like a Christmas celebration. People love the cache and it gets many favorite points. It has been the "small" sized cache with the most favorite points in Pennsylvania for about a year now. Come visit if you can.
