Original Description 8/7/2011

The Minneapolis Street Railway began in 1887 because of the unpopularity of steam locomotives operating on city streets. By 1891 the line was electrified and the old steam trains were sold. In 1892 the Mpls St. Ry. Was operated and owned by the Twin City Rapid Transit Company. In 1949 investor Charles Green gained control of the company and announced a goal of complete conversion to buses by 1958 (it was completed by 1954). The Minnesota Streetcar Museum now operates Streetcar No. 1300 through cooperation with the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board

I visited "Pocket Full O' Rockz" Traditional Geocache GC75D7V today. I'm sad to report that Ranger Rog's Rapid Rescue is missing along with all the TB's listed on the cache. I'm especially bummed because Ranger Rog was the first travel bug that I picked up and moved along. Hellolexykitty taught me about Geocaching while on vacation in Florida. I was excited to move it across the country to New Mexico and now it's gone. I hope it turns up soon.
