Current Goal

10/01/2007 - Same name, different critter. Let's hope this ones last a loooong time.

09/23/2007 - We had a number of Travel Bugs go MIA over the last few years. This is one of them. We have gathered them from the Great Beyond and are starting them back on a new journey.

Please take the time to help this TB on his mission to see the country…….. To infinity and beyond. (B. Lightyear, circa 1997)

T.T.B.F.K.A.S. was released into the wild on August 18, 2003. This Travel Bug is a reincarnation of the Spike TB.

About This Item

The original Spike began his life as a railroad spike in a West Central Florida cache. He did some traveling for a brief period of time, ending up in Jekyll Island. From there, he attempted to board a plane for a flight to Washington State. The crack security team at the airport deemed him to be a dangerous weapon and detained him. Spike is currently in the Travel Bug Witness Protection Program. Fortunately, his TB ID Tag was returned to his owner.

T.T.B.F.K.A.S. should not suffer the same fate as his namesake, but care should be taken when traveling with TB’s.

His current goal is to get back out to Seattle Washington to resume his tour of the Northwest.

Confused by the bug not being the same bug as in the pictures, I thought maybe a mistake had been made. However, having read the description and seen the details, I will bring the fuzzy bunny a.k.a. TTBFKAS with me back to the US early in December '08, so it can try to get back to the Pacific Northwest and fulfill its dream. TFTB. More in December. SP
