  • BER at the Riverside Stadium For ninety-two years, Ayresome Park served Middlesbrough FC well, but after the Hillsborough tragedy, football clubs in the top two divisions were required to have all-seater stadiums. Middlesbrough FC's answer was the Riverside Stadium. The inaugural game at the Riverside Stadium was on August 26th 1995 against Chelsea, which a crowd of 28,286 watched. Middlesbrough won 2-0.

  • BER with the Transporter Bridge, Middlesbrough. Built in 1911 under a 1907 Act of Parliament, the Transporter Bridge, which spans the River Tees, reflects the dynamic industrial heritage of the area. It is capable of carrying 600 people at a time. You drive or walk into a cradle that is suspended beneath the main span of the bridge and which carries its load of cars and pedestrians across the River Tees some 160ft above the river in just two and a half minutes. It even featured in the film 'Billy Elliott'.
  • BER in a sticky situation! Took BER with us to look for micro geocache GC16CGA Do-you-think-he-saurus. BER got a bit too close to a dinosaur! A moment of panic whilst taking this picture as BER fell inside the dinosaur's mouth. Mr Reddanbydan managed to fish him out - hero!
  • B.E.R. at Danby Castle Danby Castle occupies a commanding position on the far slopes of Danby Rigg. It was built in the 14th century for Lord Latimer as a sign of his great wealth and was a pioneering architectural design in its day combining defense with comfortable living. The castle was once the home of Catherine Parr before she became the sixth wife of Henry VIII. The castle is a working farm today and part of the building is a farmhouse. Danby Court Leet regularly meet in the Castle’s courtroom. (www.visitnorthyo
