"Hello! I'm Grandma! Damnit! And I'm not happy my family is sending me out in to the world! I wanna stay home! I wanna play Nintendo! My rotten daughter is mean to me! Bart! Baaaart! Make her stop!"

About This Item

Grandma Enjoys Bryce Canyon, Utah. 2001

Relax yourself, Grandma! (Visit Grandma's official Webpage at http://www.amusings.net/grandma/ for more details as to why she is screaming. A lot.)

We here at Team Screamapillar [chief among them your rotten daughter Christine] think you don't get out enough! We have taken you on some excellent adventures and vacations. You've been to Arizona, Utah, Key West, Niagara Falls, Canada and Sweden! You were even eaten by a puppy and then cloned by the geniuses at Clonaid! Add to that the fact that today is your 38th wedding anniversary with good ole Bart over there, we thought there would be no better way than to celebrate your marital bliss than to send you off as a Travel Bug. Yell 'goddammit Bart' and put that tag on! Hit the road!

We know she's sometimes kind of grumpy, so here are instructions for finders of Grandma to help ensure she has a fun time as a Travel Bug.

1. Please let her play your Nintendo. Grandma LOVES her some Nintendo!

2. Grandma smokes, so keep her away from cigarettes. She needs a more healthy lifestyle, don'tcha know.

3. Humor her. She's a cranky old bag, but she's got a heart of gold.

4. If you repeatedly press the top of Grandma's head, she'll kick her leg. When someone makes you mad, chase them with Grandma kicking and she can yell at them. It's lots of fun.

5. Please Take Pictures of Grandma! The fun of Grandma's Adventures webpage is that Grandma gets to go to some wacky places. Email presidentkang2004@gmail.com with your Grandma pictures You can post them here on the Travel Bug watch site too.

6. update 1/2004: Team Wutzebear made a quilt for Grandma. If you retrieve her, MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE QUILT! I'd like to make sure they stay together. You can give Grandma gifts -- just make sure she's in a bag, with her gifts, as you pass her along! Feel free to secure the gifts to her if you feel it necessary.

7. update 9/2005: Grandma recently suffered a second chewing by a dog. Back in the day, Jack Puppy ATE grandma and left her horribly malformed but thanks to the efforts of Clonaid she was rebuilt (see her webpage for details at http://www.amusings.net/grandma/obituary.htm). Being eaten TWICE by dogs has really made Grandma dog-phobic. Please keep her away from chewy canines. Thank you.

Grandma would like to make it cross country and back. Can you help her? I bet you can. Please don't lose her, she's near and dear to Team Screamapillar.

Gosh! She looks very angry.

[2004-02-04]
Grandma and I meanwhile have overcome our first feelings of antipathy (She: What, no Nintendo? You don't smoke? Mollycoddle! Me: Stop kicking me! Ouch! No, don't hit that delete key!).
Ok., it's not like we will get on like a house afire. But we treat us with respect now. I listen to her tales about the salad days of her youth, and she tries to stay awake when I tell her about the latest developments in computer science.

I retrieved the Wicked Witch of the West (http://www.geocaching.com/track/details.aspx?ID=37263 for her from the Cache Ackerhecke. When the weather is good they sit together on the porch and gossip.

Grandma helped me in the garden cleaning the birdhouses.

Enough is enough. The last two weeks Grandma felt like Oprah Winfrey. She invited everyone available for a talk on her quilt.
I just can't stand it any longer. Ignoring the rain, I went out for geocaching today.
There was a new cache nearby. Not difficult to find.
Grandma 'accidently' fell out of my pocket into the cache box while I logged.
It was very quit when I drove home.
I already miss you Grandma.

Today I made a trip more than 100 km from my home. I visited the “Kraichgau”-area, (see pic below) a lovely place in the southwest of germany. I took Grandma with me to place her into one of best caches I ever did. “Cave Lodge”. This cache has something special. It contains a LPD-transmitter which can easily received with a “babyphone” or some HAM-radio-equipment. So if Grandma feels, she hasn´t enough air to breathe in there, she may will made this transmitter to send S O S….
Bye Grandma !!!

Friday, January 16th
Grandma woke up in the morning. First she said: “Baaaaaart, where are my cigarettes? Give me my cigarettes !!! I want to smoke, and I want to play Nintendo!!!”
I was surprised. Was that the calm and polite lady, who begged me to rescue her from darkness, rain and coldness?
In fact I´m a militant non-smoker. And so I decided to take her with me to work, to show her, what will happen to people who won´t stop smoking. (see the pic below)
First Grandma was very impressed, but after a while she started nagging, asked for cigarettes and matches and tried using my aenesthesia-equipment as a big Nintendo-Game. This was enough!!! We only were able to stop her using a massive vital threat. (see next pic). It was clear to me, that Grandma an me won´t have a long term relationship. I will place her out as soon as possible!!!
Sorry Grandma !!!

When "Lassowitsch" and me found "Night Shift IV" I heard the voice of this old lady who begged me to take her away from these cold and rainy forrest where she stayed in for almost five days. She promised, she would change her behavior in a in a nice and frindly way. I´m not sure if I can trust her....
