Taking this with me back across the sea, perhaps to be dropped off in Prospect. Or Ultimo. The decision has not as yet been made.

Goodbye PinGuin, it’s time to let you have some new adventures. It’s International Geocaching Day so I took you to a well attended event (a record in Manila?), did some caching around Bonafacio Garden City with the other attendees including finding this very old cache at the American War Cemetery. It’s a very peaceful spot in such a busy city and the views of the Manila skyline are excellent. Good luck! 🛺

Welcome to the Philippines. I’m sort of living in Manila at the moment. The caching is dire. I’ve got my hands full with moving red tape but I hope to help put some caches in next trip. This Wherigo was a two year resus. Very hot and sticky here today. 🇵🇭

I’ve actually been to Singapore a lot but I’ve never been to the Gardens By The Bay at night to see the “trees” all lit up. And unfortunately that’s still the case. They were all dark tonight! Oh well, next time. The city lights of Singapore are still impressive. 🥟

Welcome to Singapore. I have a long transfer here so took the opportunity to see the World’s Largest Indoor Waterfall at the new Jewel Centre attached to the airport. Really not convinced it’s a waterfall, more like a giant fountain, but it was quite pretty all lit up. I passed through Singapore a few months ago but they still had strict Covid entry rules so I didn’t get to visit Jewel then. 🇸🇬

I hope you have your passport because you are leaving this sunburnt country. You’ve been here three years. That’s the thing with Australia, hard to get to, hard for travel bugs to get out of. Bit of an issue when your flight was cancelled but luckily you were transferred to another company without me needing to do anything about it. Always sad for me to leave because I’d much rather stay. ✈️

Now across to Holmesglen on the other side of Melbourne for a much deserved day of caching with ConnieandRick. We first met up on my last trip home after each of us found one of the other’s travel bugs. Dangerous things these travel bugs! Just finished caching before it absolutely poured. 🌧

It’s time for Confused Aphorism and I to have a catch up. We chose a hike in the You Yangs, granite ridges that rise up to 319 m above the flat and low-lying Werribee Plain in southern Victoria between Melbourne and Geelong. They are popular for hiking, climbing, mountain biking, and animal watching. Plenty of kangaroos today. 🦘

We went for a very early, and very chilly, walk around Alphington Park. The wattles are looking fantastic. I miss the smell of Australia when I’m away - the eucalypts and the wattles, so beautiful. 🦆
