Current Goal

This TB has been re-released as a 1970 Chevelle SS. The original Hummer was last seen in Florida, and this disappeared after one of the hurricanes. ------

Original was Hummer H2Go - renamed to H2Ghost - and going is what I do... I started in the western suburbs of Chicago, and want to head for Texas... but got lost down in Florida. So pick me up, and move me along. I want to see everything along the way, and please take some photos for my scrapbook.

Chevelle SS 1970

This TB is trying to make it to other interesting places, and not get lost in a hurricane as the other original TB did. --- It appears that this TB made it all the way from the Chicago area down to Florida - but then the entire cache disappeared...along with the TB 3/5/04. It will be missed, as this was our first TB placed into a cache back in November 2003. Some folks now claim it is back alive and in a cache 7/18/04. A photo would be nice :) At the suggestion of a fellow cacher that found it, then it disappeared, and now it has re-appeared as a ghost... we are renaming it to "Hummer H2Ghost". And gone again as of 7/2006 at the Holy Rock cache.

Our second cache of the day was located on Signal Hill in St. John's, Newfoundland. It was a clear and somewhat breezy day -- a great day for geocaching.

Our first find of the day.

Once again, geocaching gets us to places we wouldn't have otherwise even known about.

We arrived by ferry yesterday (7/18/05), and drove to St. John's to spend the evening. A relatively early up-time and breakfast put us on the road to explore the St. John's area. What a great location! Quidi Vidi and Salvage top my list of small towns that I've visited in Newfoundland so far.

After we found the cache, we headed back to the car, then stopped by the Quidi Vidi Brewery for a little refreshment, before looking for the next cache on our journey.

This was our first find of the day. The cache is located near the extreme end of a peninsula that juts out into the Atlantic Ocean. It's a wonderful cache location, and a great excuse for a nice hike.
