Spent the day at the Olivelands School for Mika's nose work trial. We had a beautiful view of the orange trees during the day, and this was a quick cache to find before the drive.

Found on a weekday evening walking along Aliso Creek Trail. I didn't see this when it posted, so I had to swing by once I realized there was one near my usual walking areas. With the evening traffic, I hope the geodogs provided cover as I jiggled and poked and wiggled the cache to extract it from its hiding place!

    • GC7AMR4 Hina says: you found the cache, I provided the cover, now I get a treat!

I came to the school down the street for Mika's nose work trial. She was 33 out of 35 dogs, so I had a long wait time in the middle of the day. What else would I do except walk over to find a geocache? Especially a dog themed one! This place is incredibly beautiful!

    • Cute container!

I had some time to fill before agility class with one of my geodogs, so of course I took the geodogs to a new park! We didn't see any turtles but we did see a Black-crowned Night Heron, and Google Photos created a panorama for me...

    • Bird watching and geocaching!
    • Seeing... triple?

This was my first successful difficulty 4 cache. I looked around a large rock near a street and didn't find anything, sat down to think... and thought, if I were setting hides for my nose work dogs, where would I hide something? And then, there it was, buried in the dirt between the concrete sidewalk and curb! Very sneaky!

My first find in Texas! Here for Judo Nationals - volunteered today, competing tomorrow, and some geocaching in between! This one was right by where we were staying so of course I had to look for it.

This one kept going missing just before I had time to go look for it. So finally, I was able to mark a smiley face for this one!

After a horrible day of agility (Mika has not been the same with agility since Chip passed), I met a friend and her dog to walk the Great Park. As I was on the phone with her to describe what parking lot to go to, I ran into a family also looking for this geocache. We found it, signed the log, and then I introduced a friend and her dog to both the park and geocaching!

I previously logged a DNF, because with Mika laying down in the bushes to chew a stick, Chip gamely trying to fit in, and Hina standing outside looking at me like I was crazy made finding the geocache very difficult. More recently, with Chip in a stroller, I couldn't really look for it even after I saw a bunch of the bushes had been cleared out. Today, I took a quick look and found it placed out of sight but not really hidden. Maybe the people clearing the bushes are geocaches?
