Coin "Face"

This coin should be with me most if not all of the time. I intend to use this to track my milage from this point (18 Oct 2006) forward. The Travel Bug "I Woont Tellieu" has decided that he can leave me now and is moving out on a new mission.

I had to look more than once to really see the "bike path" entrance. It looked smaller than many walking trails I have been on. As I walked the path, I was awkwardly aware of the elementary school just the other side of those few trees. It hadn't rained in a few days and this cache was still a bit muddy and slippery, but I made it to the cache. When I approached, my GPSr didn't agree with my geosense, so I ignored it and found the cache right away. Too bad someone felt the need to paint the obscenity so near the cache hiding location...

This was my first solo success today. I tried one other cache (Pondering), but I couldn't find it. I think I made this one a bit harder than I should have, but I found it. I got a few pictures, but some things that would have made a good photo were tarnished by "construction trash" floating in the water.

With the updated coordinates in our hands, we found this cache right away. We got to the right area, our GPSr had us within about 10-15 feet of the cache, but I was able to spot it easily. I'm sure that ClickChik would have found it if I had given her a chance.

I received this geocoin as a gift from ClickChik. I will begin using this coin to track my personal geocaching milage and the Travel Bug "I Woont Tellieu" will move on to a new mission (soon).
