The original TB with a puffin got lost quite quickly, so now only a copy tag is travelling. It's a key ring brought from Iceland and the TB would like to visit northern lands where puffins live.
If it meets any puffins there, please upload their picures to the logs.
Atlantic puffins, sometimes nicknamed “sea parrots” or even “clowns of the sea“, are by far one of the most lovable and characteristic bird species you can meet travelling to northern countries. Although puffins spend most of their lives out at sea, resting on the waves when not swimming, in spring and summer they gather in big colonies on coastal cliffs or offshore islands of the North Atlantic Ocean to breed. They usually pair up with the same partner and they may stay together for even 20 years. In Europe you are most likely to see them in Iceland, the Faeroes, Norway and around the northern coasts of Great Britain.
