About This Item

Hi there! I was picked up at the MWGB 2021 event in Wauseon, OH. My owner met Signal there!

Now that I've begun my travels, I'm hoping to travel all over the world, visit new and exciting caches, meet new friends, and hopefully reunite with Signal! Also would love to visit Geocaching HQ, Signal's base of operations and where all the magic happens!

Please keep me moving and take lots of pictures!!

    I found a micro cache with a full log at this firehouse. It didn’t make any sense though with the description or prior posts. Something wasn’t right here. So I messaged the owner. Turns out I found some old, missing archived micro that was there once upon a time. The real (current) cache is a small jar in the ground hidden in a fake irritation box. It’s right behind the statue on the lower right corner. The trackables are all pictured by his feet. Had to give this one a favorite point!

    Anchorage Alaska. A new state for me (for the purposes of the game). This is my first cache here and it earned a favorite point. My trackables are all pictures atop the host. It’s inside the pictured post, hidden behind the red reflector. Took some looking as the coordinates were a bit off and there was no hint.

    My current Trackable collection is pictured looking down at the tarmac from the lounge.
    I’ve previously logged this virtual many trips ago. It requires a selfie with some fish, along with a hand written note and is located in a different concourse. I’m using it here as a reference point. The trackables and I are excited about our trip today! Some of them have never flown before.

    This will probably sound strange-

    I wanted to lay claim to one additional state before my upcoming Geocache anniversary. It will be one year at the beginning of October. I took off work tomorrow, but will still get up at 5:00am. I’m heading out with my trackables for a day trip and will return home around midnight. I’ll have a few hours mid-day to log some finds and get some pictures with my trackable collection. I considered this a really cool, fun way to spend a day and even invited my family to accompany me on this quest. I anticipated their glee in joining me. However, my wife and kids did not share my enthusiasm and had different adjectives to describe my adventure. Even suggested I change my stage name to LordDork! LordDork??!! They declined my generous offer. It’s not as much fun to go it alone. So, I offered to bring a friend along with me instead. He seemed rather excited about it-as I am. But he too received a similar response from his family as well. So I guess two dorks will be heading out to log some finds tomorrow. Hopefully the weather cooperates.

    This cache was hard to find as it had perfect camouflage for this time of year!
    Can you spot it? Probably not, it’s nearly impossible to see. It’s the English Ivy at the bottom of that tree. A small part of it is fake and has an attached small cache.

    Pictures don’t come through on long posts, so here it is for the last one. Cache was a small whiskey sized container at the base of a dead tree. Had a frog attached to its top.

    I came here this past winter with the intent to get this smiley face. From the description, hint and coordinates I knew exactly where the cache would be. Problem was, my prize was in the middle of a marsh! Now what? Having lived here for over 30 years, I knew exactly what to do! Simply come back in mid September. The trackables and I still had to bush whack, but I at least I wasn’t on a safari wading through water. We found it. Could not sign the log as it was immersed in water-container, log bag and all. I messaged the owner with a picture and let him know that it needs some maintenance.
