Yesterday was not our day. We decided to drive around and see some beautiful places around this area, but we went five for five DNFs on stashes we tried to visit. It was nonetheless a nice day spent in nature; as Laura and I continued our cross country journey up north through the lovely country of Vietnam, we left Nha Trang and after a pretty long ride on the sleeper bus made it to our next destination; Đà Nẵng. We drove straight here, with the intention of being based in Đà Nẵng and exploring the wider area over the next four days, going to the peninsula, as well as visiting Lăng Cô and Hội An. Yesterday we drove around and saw quite a bit of nature, visiting both Bán đào Sơn Trà and the Deo Van Hai, after which we drive to Lăng Cô. We stuffed ourselves at the night market and happily slept through the night.
Today, we decided it was time to visit Hội An, walk around the historical center, and enjoy our last full-day trip here. It was unsurprisingly a very warm day; after smearing ourselves with sunscreen, we hopped on our bike and drove south for 40 minutes; before arriving in Hội An I decided to take us to this stash. We navigated through the narrow streets and already from the many westerners and signs around we knew we were in a whole new level of a tourist area. We parked nearby the alley and walked to the stash, first overshooting GZ, but then quickly spotting the stash since the hint was helpful. We were lucky it was relatively early and no muggles were around, so we opened up the container and as soon as we saw that it was in great condition and big enough, we decided this was the perfect place to leave you. Oh Choppie; Laura and I are both afraid of loosing you as soon as we drop you, but we hope that someone who's a good geocacher can pick you up and help you on your mission to eat through Asia and race against Choppie 2, your little brother. We've gonna 11044 kilometers with you, now it's turn to hitch a ride with someone else! We wish you luck on your travels, and most importantly a safe journey and to meet many nice people!
It's been a pleasure taking you with us from home till here in the middle of Vietnam! Safe travels, little guy!
