Current Goal

The mission of this coin is to reward the finder, by providing a logable item. Since some hunts are team cache finds this will allow for an introduction of the teams and individuals hunting together.

About This Item

This coin started out from Capture the Flag X. Capture the Flag was a game between the cachers of Rock County, Wi. and Winnebago County Ill. In this game the cheezers or the flatlanders hid a cache with the 'flag'. Then the opposing teams capture the 'flag' and win the right to hide it again. Back and forth across the cheddar curtain. Any number of teams could participate. Even individuals were welcome to give it a go. Game On!
It's was fun time and could be most challenging.
Althought the game has ended there remains a few of the geocache hides; and this geocoin. Happy trails!

    This cache is located in Humboldt Park, a more"city" Miwaukee County Park. I passed in on the Oklahome bus every day on my way to High School so it was fun to actually explore it tonight. The cache was hidden in the roots of a tree .. ha, lots of trees with holes and roots around here. I had to do the look like you are sitting on the ground with the cell phone trick with all the muggles about.

    Along KK Parkway, this is definitely a park that must have been very beautiful in it's day. As you walk the dirt trail along the creek, you can see what once must have been a rock lined water way. It is now in total disrepair. The trail itself has many trees down. All in all, this was my second visit to this cache to grab a travel bug. What are the odds that I was able to get a 3rd travel bug from someone from California? I just had to try!

    Your travel bug visited one of the State of Mind series of caches here in Milwaukee. A series of 50 caches, one named for each of the states. It originally was a contest in summer 2003 to see who could complete them first.
    The series will be retired this November.
