New objective

Trying to get it back home. He has completed his mission.Try to move it along and help it finds its way back to Sioux Falls,SD

This Bugs Mission is to Make it to 20 states and maybe another county and some day make its way home before being squashed. If your not going someplace far away take it along anyway he loves to move about from cache to cache

*** Update 8/20/16  We have finished the mission we set out for> Who would have ever thought this would still be traveling around the world 9 years later. Wow thanks to all those that lent a hand in moving it about.My daughter is now a Sr in High School and we still enjoy Geo on vacation and when were sitting with nothing to do.Now its time to get it home so we can send in on a new mission.

This large bug was donated to us at our first GEO Event,so we taged it.My 8yr old Daughter who loves this Search and find stuff is having a blast we have logged 23 finds and 28 walked miles in our first 30 days. We now have our first Cache hidden and a second looking for a home.So we decided that it is time to set a bug free and hope it comes home. Being travelers ourselves we thought a great mission would be for the bug to make it to at least 20 states maybe another other county . If It does we hope it then can find its way home. Please feel free and we encourage you to post pictures of the locations The travel bug has been. As my daughter will be collecting them to save in her journal. Thanks you and dont let the bed (Travel) bugs bite! :-)

Update 10/27/2013 so my daughter is 14 now and although we did not geo for a while we are once again on a mission. It has been fun to see this still active and moving along hope it can hit a new country before it heads home.

Wow another year has past and the travel bug continues to move along. So great to see all the people out enjoing our nations country side

.A BIG thank you to all who have moved it along and a special thanks to those who took the time to post a picture. We have downloaded them and keep them in a file for future viewing.Looks like we hit our state goal now hope we can find a travler to take it out of the country.

7/22/16  Thanks to much to Brendn for rescuing travel bug from the lost glad to see it making its way along again. Its been almost 10yrs of travel for this creature and has had many fun locations. Would love to see more pictures of the locations as it travels. We still enjoy GEO from time to time and especial make a habit of doing some while on our vacations. Thanks to all who keep the move along

9/19/18 OMG Have not been geo in almost 2 years daughted was home said Dad let go Geo so I signed in and checked our bug.Who whould have though it would have still be alive and moving along this is amazing!! 38194 miles and counting.Thanks to Emeralde 1962 for taking it on a world tour.Hope someone new can find it soon and enjoy its friendship.It would be amazing to find it in a Geo here in my home city in the near future.
