Sandhill Crane Migration

I was a docent with the DFG leading Sandhill Crane Tours in the Sacramento/San Joaquin Delta area of California. These magnificent birds are a wonder to see when they fly in to roost in shallow water as sunset approaches. Once you have heard their calls...a deep, trumpeting "gaaroooahhh"...you will definitely be a Sandhill Crane fan!
