Back in Yass for my event and then a local cacher took me to some of his hard caches. This one is New South Wales “cache of the year 2021” and I can see why. The CO spent his time laughing at me while I hauled a huge rock up a hill. 🏆

Visited 3/31/2022 Wombatwandering took it to Snakes of the World - Black Spitting Cobra New South Wales, Australia - 11.58 miles  Visit Log

High on my list of caching priorities with you was the power trail of challenge cachers with a few snake caches in the mix. No real snakes were spotted. 🐍

Visited 3/31/2022 Wombatwandering took it to Yass TB hotel New South Wales, Australia - 251.29 miles  Visit Log

The problem with trips to Australia is that I have to do what other people want me to do all the time whereas sometimes (!) I just want to go caching. You stopped at Yass for two days to do exactly that. Visited this fantastic travel bug hotel with excellent views. 🏰

Visited 3/30/2022 Wombatwandering took it to Hello Echuca! Victoria, Australia - 89.51 miles  Visit Log

You made it to Echuca last night and I took you to a breakfast event this morning. Great to meet all the local cachers. Time to leave Victoria by crossing the Murray River, Australia’s largest river. 🍩

Driving right along. Next stop was a fridge out in the open surrounded by farms that’s a geocache! Very cool. Around the corner is an evil lock and key cache. 🧊

Made it to St Arnaud. I wanted to stay the night here because there are so many caches but the family think I’m speninging too long away from them. This was a fun Wherigo involving five laps cruising up and down the town avoiding mobility scooters. We did rescue Dixie the very lost dog from running frightened into traffic. That was our good deed for the day. 🐕

Visited 3/29/2022 Wombatwandering took it to Time Out in Paradise #2 Victoria, Australia - 38.49 miles  Visit Log

I’m sure not many trackables can say they’ve been to Paradise. Aren’t you lucky!? Paradise the town appears to be a community hall, a church, and a bus stop. That’s it. Even the town sign has disappeared. 🌈

Visited 3/28/2022 Wombatwandering took it to Mindfulness on Boronia Peak Victoria, Australia - 1.19 miles  Visit Log

Opa is on a multiday through hike of Gariwerd and we were meant to walk with him today to the Pinnacle. Unfortunately, Parks Victoria have shut that section for backburning - deliberately lit fires to reduce bushfire risk. Instead, Geocachpro walked with Opa until morning tea and then left him to continue along the boring lake walk while we climbed up Boronia Peak. Spectacular 360 views from here and we saw lots of native animals. 🦎

Made it to Halls Gap in the Grampians or Gariwerd, a place central to the dreaming of Aboriginal people, particularly the Djab Wurrung and the Jardwadjali. It’s very beautiful. There are kangaroos everywhere. Reunited with Opa after several years. Geocachpro is now taller than him. 🦘

Visited 3/27/2022 Wombatwandering took it to Eureka TB Exchange Victoria, Australia - 68.31 miles  Visit Log

Geocachpro and I collected the Geohiremobile and headed up the Western Highway to Ballarat, a gold rush town. Stopped at the Eureka Stockade precinct so you could learn some Victorian History. Met other cachers at the hotel. ⛏
