After the day in Melbourne, you jumped on the train to Williamstown to stay with my good friends. Took a pre-dinner walk around the gardens. 🪴

I had an invite for some caching with ConnieandRick which was too good to pass up. We wandered around Melbourne trying to do some normal caches, a chocolate themed multi, some labs, and some Virtuals. Enjoyed the artwork in AC/DC lane and there is an excellent pisco sour bar nearby. 🎸

Visited 4/9/2022 Wombatwandering took it to Barwon - Letter Box Victoria, Australia - 29.03 miles  Visit Log

Now you’ve travelled to Geelong, home of my Australian Rules Football club, The Cats. You can see their home at Kardinia Park across the Barwon River. We checked out the new water walk thing here. Got a bit rollercoaster like at the end due to the waves. 😺

Due to a ridiculous puzzle cache in Melbourne where the checker went green for the solved coords but the actual coords are in little writing further down the checker page, we ended up in Parwan. Who does such an evil thing???! Luckily, it wasn’t too far out of our way and there was another cache plus an impressive dirt bike course nearby. 🏍

Visited 4/8/2022 Wombatwandering took it to Camaraderie - Virtual Reward 3.0 Victoria, Australia - 40.58 miles  Visit Log

Into the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) again to continue sorting out GeocachPro’s membership and then I cut through the National Tennis Centre to Richmond. All the big sports venues are in this part of Melbourne. 🏟

Visited 4/7/2022 Wombatwandering took it to State Library - La Trobe Reading Room (The Dome) Victoria, Australia - 39.9 miles  Visit Log

You’ve finally arrived back in Melbourne. Took you into the city to find some caches. You visited the infamous bushrangers Ned Kelly’s armour in the State Library. I used to study in the fantastic reading room after school sometimes. 📚

Another detour off the Hume for you. This one is to Victoria’s oldest cache dating from 2000. The views are amazing and even better…….. Wombats live here!!!! 💖

Visited 4/6/2022 Wombatwandering took it to HUME HIGHWAY TB MOTEL Victoria, Australia - 85.07 miles  Visit Log

Stopping for a cache here where the Hume Highway goes through the Strathbogie Rangers. That is prime koala habitat. Unfortunately none were to be seen although I don’t want them to be this close to the road anyway. 🐨

Visited 4/6/2022 Wombatwandering took it to #1 Gourmet Run - King Valley Victoria, Australia - 45.76 miles  Visit Log

After a lunch stop in Myrtleford for potato cakes, we took the Snow Road to Oxley and Milawa in the King Valley. They are famous for wines and other epicurean delights. 🍷

Visited 4/6/2022 Wombatwandering took it to Big Fella View Victoria, Australia - 4.82 miles  Visit Log

Time to push on to Melbourne. More windy mountain roads after leaving Mt Beauty up to a lookout on a saddle. You can see over the Kiewa Valley to Mt Bogong on one side and over the Ovens Valley to Mt Buffalo from the other side. Beautiful. 🏞
