Laura and I have hoped not to run into any creepy crawlers while on our Spring break 2024 in Australia, but we did. On the occasion of visiting this new continent, we decided to buy and release two TBs, which encapsulate our phobias and the possibly dangerous nature of this country. We hope these two will be traveling for a while around the continent (or region), and document some similar stories of other geocachers.
Laura's nope rope and Tommy's hairy legs are a snake and spider TB released in April 2024. We hope for these two TBs to travel the continent and gather stories and photos of the wildlife encounters (fun or scary) which this country has to offer. Hopefully, none too scary!
We hope to see many photos of the TBs' travels, and hope the two TBs can race against each other to see who travels further. Tommy's Hairy legs was dropped off first on April 14th at the countries' first robotic book retrieval library (with 1195km travled with us), while Laura's Nope Rope stayed with us for 2603.4km until April 16th, when it was left at the old Gippy TB hotel. We had a great two night camping, but as our time is limited it was time for us to head back home.
After packing up in the morning, we headed back on the road and since we weren’t rushing to beat the rain this time, it meant we could make a couple more stops along the way back into Melbourne. We stopped at this stash to show it to this TB while on the road!

After our hike, I took a short nap but Laura didn’t manage to wake me up. And so she took our muggle friends and our TBs out for a hike of her own, and during that time visited this stash while hiking the national park.
After our nap, I joined the group for a brief walk on the beach, at which point I took a lovely photo of this TB in the beautiful environment!

What an exciting night camping! After a great meal and drinks over the evening rain, Laura and I woke up cold but refreshed and ready to tackle our first day in nature. After our friends woke up too, we went for a short trip of our surroundings in the morning, and explored some of the prom with a hike up to mount oberon. It gave us a really nice view as well as a nice workout! Glad this TB could come with us! Two rewarding caches here after the hike!
