MadMin: I attempted to contact the owner of 2006 Fall Bonanza Bonus to find out about the status of this cache on August 31, 2009. I have received no response from the owner on the cache page or via email. Because of that I'm afraid I have to archive this cache.

I will be more than happy to review this cache again and (hopefully) reinstate it once you have corrected any issues with the cache. please contact me via ma.reviewer@gmail.com to do so.

Geocache Description:

This is a bonus cache that was released for the 2006 Fall Bonanza event. This cache is located in Marlborough but it is not at the posted coordinates.

The 2006 Fall Bonanza Bonus cache may be found by adding offsets to the posted coordinates provided above. Clue sheets with offsets have been placed in twenty-five of the caches released during the 2006 Fall Cache Bonanza.

There are five different groups of offsets (a thru e), with each group comprised of five clue sheets. This makes a total of twenty-five clue sheets.

Each clue sheet contains a north and west offset. Find all five clue sheets within any group and you’ll have the numbers you need to find the bonus cache.

For example, find clue sheets a-1, a-2, a-3, a-4, and a-5, or b-1, b-2, b-3, b-4 and b-5, etc., and add the offsets from each clue sheet in a group to the above posted coords: N 42 22.000, W 71 30.000.

The clue sheets are not interchangeable. You cannot use three clue sheets from one group and two sheets from another. You must obtain all five clue sheets from any one group.

The difficulty rating of 2.0 reflects the cache hide. Obtaining a complete set of clue sheets will be a task of substantially greater difficulty.

There were twenty-eight caches released for the 2006 Fall Bonanza including this cache. Twenty-five of these caches had clue sheets. "Wild Card" sheets were placed inside two others. The "Wild Card" sheets do not contain offsets but contain information that will be helpful in your search to locate a complete set of clues.

As time passes, there is the potential that one or more of the Fall Bonanza caches will be archived. This presents the possibility that a complete set of clues cannot be collected for one or more groups. Consequently, the task will become more challenging but not impossible.

Once you collect a full set of clues and determine the cache coordinates, it is a short walk from the closest available parking which is located southwest of the cache.
