The
above coordinates will get you to this place where you may
park. At this time there is limited parking. Please
take care when leaving. Sight to and around the corner is
very restricted. If you can, you might want to try parking by
backing in.
With its 34 acres of surrounding woodlands,
streams, and salt marsh, the area known as Nick's Lagoon forms a
complete ecosystem, providing habitat for some of the region’s most
sensitive salmon species. The community approached Trust for Public
Land (TPL) to help prevent this area from being developed into
residential subdivisions. The Kitsap County Parks and Recreation
Department acquired the property, which will be used as a park and
environmental education site.
SEABECK, WASHINGTON, 12/9/02 – What began
as an after-school program to teach youth about salmon and
water-related issues has ultimately helped save a 34.5-acre estuary
on Hood Canal that provides critical habitat for chum, coho, and
chinook salmon. Thanks to the tenacious efforts of a small
community and the Trust for Public Land (TPL), this invaluable site
will be protected forever.

SO NOW IT'S TIME TO START HAVING FUN!
THIS CACHE IS BASED OFF OF "HOWE FARM CACHE VI
- WAFFLESNIFFERS!"
The Tribe had so much fun with
WAFFLESNIFFERS, we thought it would be fun to design a cache like
it.
This is a 4 WP multi-cache. At Waypoints 1, 2 &
3 there will be code sheets. Follow the directions and you
will have a new funny name when you are done. There will also
be coordinates to the next cache site at each WP. Make sure
you have paper and pencil with you so you can write down your new
names as you go.
WP-1 {47° 38.147/122° 50.328} is a small plastic
container. It will have a code sheet for your first new name
and the coordinates for the next WP. (WP-2 & 3
containers are the same type but will have different code
sheets.)
How to use the Code Sheets:
WP-1: Locate your NEW first name by using the first letter of
your "real" first name.
WP-2: Locate your NEW middle name by using the last letter of
your "real" middle name.
WP-3: Locate your NEW last name by using the first letter
of your "real" last name.
(Please note that the code names will not be found anywhere
else. They have been made up by us.)
Coordinates in WP-3 are for the FINAL cache WP-4 - A plastic 13"
x 8" x 4" container in a black garbage bag. A
little something for everyone. There is a large variety of
item for the young geocachers. We used mostly items from our first
50 finds. You might even recognize something...
Please place all the WP containers as you
found them or better.
To verify your find. You will have to use
your NEW name when you
log the cache on this page.
MAY THE SPIRITS GUIDE YOU
WELLTO THE . . .

IF YOU GO CACHING DURING THE WETTER MONTHS.
YOU MIGHT WANT TO WEAR YOUR RUBBER MOCCASINS. THERE ARE A FEW
SMALL CREEK BEDS YOU WILL HAVE TO CROSS UNTIL BRIDGES OR CROSSINGS
ARE MADE.
(NOTE ADDED 9/11/05) THE BEAVERS HAVE
BEEN BUSY. SOME OF THE PATH IS MARSHY. MAKE SURE YOU BRING THOSE
RUBBER MOCCASINS.
