A stunning 360 degree of the ACT & NSW awaits you from an
elevation of 1857m. Drive to Piccadilly circus, Bulls Head, Mt.
Franklin & Mt. Ginini. Park at the lower carpark at Mt. Ginini
area - LOCKED gate. - Wilderness area. Make a whole day of it -
enjoy the time, a great area, don't rush it. From the locked gate
at the carpark, walk on the old fire trail for about 5km walking
distance to Pryor's hut. Continue for another 10-15 mins. Then at a
sharp left turn (U turn) in the track, where it crosses a small
flowing creek, the walking trail is the narrow trail up the
mountain, on the right. Coords at this point are S 35 34.307, E 148
47.010 . The walking trail up is clear and easy, but relatively
steep.
The big mountain you are heading up is the big flat topped one
you can see from most of Canberra. Keep to the trail - it will take
you to the southern end of the top.
Once up there - go for it, and admire the views.
