Fred Fraser and his wife Annie lived in this area and raised their family here until the road came through near here and their land was purchased for right of way.
Uncle Fred had a satellite dish with a poured concrete base on the homestead, and true to his ability, he poured a perfect square foundation some three feet deep, as edsmom remembers, with a curb atop it for garden plants to cover its utility. Since construction completed and this area is no longer used for access, the satellite dish base has been dug up and is now being used as a traffic stop. Despite its cracked and crooked placement, be on the lookout for Uncle Fred’s flowers, in season, they are known to still bloom.
