Come along and join us for some geocaching fun and socialising.
The event will be held near the Auburn Botanic Gardens alongside Duck Creek.
The park is off Chisholm Rd, Auburn. It is approximately 3 kilometres from Lidcombe or Auburn railway station, or you can reach it by taking the M91 from Parramatta interchange .
The park includes free BBQs, a number of covered tables, open grass space, kids playground, heaps of parking, free boiling hot water and toilet block.
The Botanical Gardens include a Japanese Formal Garden, Australian Rainforest and a small Aussie Animal zoo. If you are not an Auburn Council resident there is an entrance fee of $4 for anyone over 16.
The event will begin at 11 am and carry on as long as you like. Ensure you bring a hat and sunscreen and sensisible footwear.
New geocachers are most welcome to attend as it's a great way to meet the local geocaching community and pick up some tips on finding and hiding geocaches.
Don't forget you can also swap geocoins and travel bugs at the event. The association will also have geocoins, pathtags and stickers for sale.
