Right on the Carquinez Strait lies Benicia, one of the more upscale cities of Solano County. Benicia's regional importance goes back many years, and it even served as the state capital from 1853 to 1854. The city has a definite waterfront feel unmatched by many others in the area. For myself, it remains one of the least explored cities in Solano County. However, I do have one specific memory associated with Benicia. When I used to play baseball, we would go down to Benicia to play their teams. I always had a love/hate feeling about these trips. Benicia has a really nice baseball field that we got to play on, but we nearly always lost (Benicia always had good teams). In honor of these memories, I've placed the cache across the street from this field. On my way to place the cache I even found a baseball behind a bush to keep as a souvenier. Cache is a log only so BYOP, and it can't hold any swag. Practice extreme stealth as you'll be next to a busy street and mobile home park.
Congrats to spiritofkaos1 and darknight2003 for the quick FTF!
